Username: ♜Rook (inkwings)
Character name: Thresherheart
Gender: Male
Age: Thirty-seven moons
Soul Animal: Pelagic thresher (Alopias pelagicus)
Rank: Warrior
Physical Description: Lean dark chocolate tabby with sleek fur and green eyes. A long, narrow muzzle, housing rows of sharp shark teeth; these often fall out, but are always replaced. Can't chew well, and thus is forced to swallow prey in chunks; the unusually strong acid in his stomach, though, takes care of the dissolving, so there aren't any issues there. His tail is rather impressive; it's a beautiful deep silver-blue in color, and as far as shark tails go, the true tail is rather short. The caudal fin, however, is what really stands out. The lower prong is fairly average, but the upper one, the continuation of the spine, is truly astounding. This fin itself is longer than he is! It narrow to a whip-thin end, and is surprisingly strong and flexible. It's not all that versatile, though, and has one main use: stunning prey. In water, with a simple twitch of his tail, Thresherheart can slam his fin into prey with such force that they are temporarily incapacitated; a few moments is all he needs to get the prey in his mouth and finish it off. As magnificent as this tail is, however, it's an extreme pain on land; without water to support the caudal fin, it often droops, sometimes dragging on the ground and making Thresherheart's gait quite unsteady. With some difficulty, it can be used as a weapon on land much in the same way as in the water, and though its power is greatly diminished it's still something quite formidable to face.
Personality: Thresherheart has a rather commanding presence and a loud voice, and he has no reservations about sharing his opinions. He likes to think that he's an inspiration to apprentices who are faced with difficulties, because, after all, he managed to learn how to live successfully even with his cumbersome tail, and he thinks that was quite a feat, even though in reality it wasn't that difficult a task. He highly values individuality and the unique traits that every chimera possesses, insisting that everyone must embrace their differences and learn to use these peculiar setbacks and advantages to live a fulfilling life, one that makes the individual happy and satisfied and also helps the Clan as much as possible. Yes, he cares very much about the good of the Clan, but he's also willing to accept that Clan life isn't for everyone and some will not be successful in the Clan, no matter how supportive it might be. He does not shun loners and rogues; indeed, he is rather curious about them, wondering how they manage to live on their own. He's also endlessly fascinated with chimeras in general, and he finds each and every one of his Clanmates to be an exciting enigma. What traits do they have that others don't? What challenges do they face? In what unique ways do they utilize the chimera half of them? He loves to ask questions, to the point where it honestly may get rather annoying. He also loves to answer them, and is all-in-all a very self-important cat: he certainly doesn't think of himself as being above others, though, and values everyone equally. He's very supportive of all cats, particularly those who are struggling, and is usually able to put his conceitedness aside to help them in any way he can, be it helping them train, pointing out areas they excel in and those that they need more work in, or providing creative insight on how they can embrace their chimera side and what unique things they are capable of because of this StarClan-granted blessing.
Skills: Swimming, hunting in water, encouraging others with his optimism
Weaknesses: Most land-related pursuits, particularly tree climbing, which he can't do at all; letting go of his confidence and positive attitude to see the reality of a dark and hopeless situation
History: When he was still a kit, Thresherheart was quite boisterous. However, as he moved into apprentice-hood, he began to have some struggles related to his tail and the way it restricted movement on land. He wallowed in self-pity for some time, but one day while hunting he came across an old loner, a kudu chimera, who in her youth had also experienced many setbacks related to her chimera half. Her challenges differed greatly from his, mainly revolving around her unwieldy horns, but she encouraged him and gave him advice. After this talk, he learned to embrace his skills and work relentlessly on those things that he struggled with; in the end, he was able to find ways to cope with his hardships, and he somewhat regained his boisterous nature, though now he was more focused on helping others rather than bragging about himself as he had done as a kit. He never saw the kudu chimera, whose name he didn't even know, again, but the elder chimera holds a dear place in his heart.

Other: This nerd is pansexual and open for a mate if anyone's interested; he's also totally looking for platonic relationships!! Friendship all the way. I would love for this dude to have an apprentice tbh
