Rules
Forumwide Rules
1) Do not spam.
Spam stands for Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. This includes making unnecessary threads (i.e. Making a camp clearing thread when there is a thread for that already) and unnecessary posts (i.e. Having your replies consist of only one word or just smilies).
2) No swearing/cussing.
No swearing/cussing allowed, including offensive or derogatory terms, with the exceptions of abbreviations/misspellings (i.e. wtf, dafuq) and warriors swearing/cussing (i.e. foxdung, crowfood). Cussing on PM's is okay, however, as long it doesn't get out of hand.
This rule links to rules 3, 4 and 5.
3) No excessive blood or gore.
Please refrain from posting pictures, videos or any other form of media that contains excessive blood or gore.
This rule links to rules 2, 4 and 5.
4) Keep content appropriate.
Inappropriate content is not allowed. This includes inappropriate pictures, videos, messages and any other form of media.
This rule links to rules 2, 3 and 5.
5) Keep all content PG 13.
In accordance with ProBoards law, all people who are of 13 years of age or older are eligible to make an account on a ProBoards forum, thus all content must be PG 13. No mature content allowed whatsoever (i.e. Discussions about drugs).
This rule is linked to rules 2, 3 and 4.
6) Treat others with respect.
This means no flaming, trolling, or treating others rudely. Everyone on this forum are humans like you and deserve to be treated like one. This rule applies to all members, moderators and administrators.
7) Do not bump old threads, or threads where it has been less that 24 hours since the last post.
Bumping refers to when a thread is 'bumped' to the top of the list of threads. Please do not bump a thread if it has been less than 24 hours since the last post or if the thread is old. A thread is classified as old if it has not been posted in for over 30 days, or roughly a month. If you want to post in an old thread, just make a new version of it.
This rule links to rule 8.
8) Do not double/triple post.
Double posting means posting two times in a row, and triple posting means posting three times in a row. Give others a chance to post in between your posts. If you have something to add but you're currently the last poster on a thread, edit your post instead of posting again.
This rule links to rule 7.
9) Do not plagiarize.
Plagiarism is a major offense, and if you are caught plagiarizing or stealing another's work you will be banned immediately, either temporarily or permanently depending on how severe the stealing/plagiarism was and how long it had been going for.
10) Do not mini-mod.
Mini-modding is where an ordinary member tries to act as a moderator. If you encounter trouble with the forum or see a member who is causing trouble or violating the rules please report them to a staff member.
11) No advertising, except in the advertisements board.
This includes posting in the shoutbox saying, "Join my forum!" or something.
12) Do not post religious comtent.
Keep all your religious content to another website/forum, as it can cause arguments and fights that we don't want.
Roleplay Rules
1) Follow the lore of the roleplay.
All cats are mixed with an animal; no more than one and no less than one.
2) There is a minimum of 40 words per post when roleplaying.
One-liners such as, "She sat down," or "He ran fast," are boring and are hard to reply to. Feel free to go over this limit, as 40 words not much, only enough to keep the roleplay interesting. This does not apply to the 'Other Roleplay' board.
3) Pelts and animal parts must have natural coloration.
This means not green cats with pink eyes etc. The coloration must remain natural, however the patterns can be unnatural (i.e. A tabby cat with a white back or a black cat with blue eyes).
4) Please be diverse in your choices regarding the soul animal of your character.
This is because we don't want the roleplay to be full of flying cats but little to nothing of anything else.
Maybe look through an animal encyclopedia before you join, there are so many interesting animals out there you could mix with.
In accordance with this rule there is an availability checker.
5) Queen characters may not be made.
This is to limit the amount of kits without roleplayers.
6) Mates must be roleplayed by two different members.
You may not mate with one of your own characters.
7) Maximum 3 litters per cat.
This is too stop the clan from becoming too overpopulated.
8) Only 1-5 kits may be born to a litter at a time.
However, due to harsh conditions, having a litter of five kits is extremely rare. The average kits per litter is two-three.
This rule links to rule 8.
9) You may not roleplay your own kits.
The kits must have somebody else roleplaying them. If a roleplayer is not found before the kits get apprenticed, they will be classed as deceased.
This rule links to rule 7.
10) Only one high rank per member allowed.
This is so everyone has a chance to play as a high rank character. High ranks are leader, deputy, medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice.
10) Graphic mating is not allowed.
Either 'fade to black', or if you wish to roleplay a 'graphic mating', do so via PM.
11) Keep the roleplay realistic.
Don't have your cat develop a crush after just two posts with the other cat, or roleplay cats who have special powers/random herb knowledge etc.
12) Do not roleplay if your character has not yet been accepted.
This means no posting in the Roleplay category. You may post in any of the other categories/boards, however.
13) Please read through the threads in the information center thoroughly.
This is to prevent unnecessary consequences from happening.
This rule links to rule 14.
14) Please check the Availability Checker Guide before making a character.
It is important that you do so.
This rule links to rule 13.
15) Please keep cat names realistic.
This means that a cat's name must be something that they'd know of, such as Barktail. No names like Demonfoot or Metalclaw, because a cat won't know what those are. Names like Coralshadow is fine because a cat will know what coral is if they live by the sea, and although ChimeraClan doesn't live anywhere near a sea, it's still fine.
To prove these rules were read, put the 'Special Passcode at the bottom of your character application. The Passcode can be found in one of the threads in the Information Center. If you don't put in the Passcode you will be told to read the rules.
Banning Procedure
1) Violation of any of these rules will result in a warning.
2) Get three warnings and your account will be suspended for a few days.
3) Get three suspensions and your account will be permanently banned.
